Fly Union starts regular operation in Tajikistan


New Airline in Tajikistan “Fly Union” is ready to launch its regular flights on primary routes to the main destinations of Russian Federation cities after air traffic recovery between two countries which is still closed due to Covid-19.

Air Company “Fly Union” was founded in early 2016, as commercial and cargo airline in Tajikistan flying to different countries and destinations of the region but due to various reason its operation has been delayed. The main base of the airline is Bokhtar (Qurgonteppa) located 100 kilometers south of capital city Dushanbe. Founder of the company Yuriy Koltsov is one of the experienced aviation professionals with international recognition of Tajikistan, who hold various governing positions in Tajikistan Civil Aviation Authority throughout previous years.

Fly union first attempt to start regular operation was done in 2018, but the same year amendments in National Aviation Authority were made. Aviation Agency under the Government of Republic of Tajikistan has been created and the application process of airlines took some period for approval. Airline gets approval for regular operation is ready to launch flights to such cities like Moscow, Saint-Peterburg, Ekaterinburg with increasing the destination in future, but air traffic between Tajikistan and Russia is still closed.

Airline operates Boeing 737, which is the highest selling of any commercial passenger jets in history of aviation.
